What Presenters have to say;
Michael Lee, MA, Founder - Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy
"I've been to a lot of conferences over the last 35 years and MISTY has to be right up there as one of the best. The presenters are always first rate and people who walk their talk. They also love to connect with each other and the participants in the friendly and inviting atmosphere that is created in the way the conference is organized. I can honestly say as a presenter that when I go to MISTY I don't feel like I'm working - it's such a pleasure just to be there and soak up the learning and fun. I can't wait to go back again."
Shelly Prosko PT, PYT, CPI, C-IAYT
"MISTY is THE premier Canadian convention to attend for those interested in learning about the therapeutic use of yoga to help people who live with and suffer from a variety of conditions. Some of the most widely respected healthcare practitioners, yoga therapists, authors, researchers and educators gather together to connect with a mission of sharing and broadening education.
This conference is unique with its intimate setting and warm and welcoming host.
I especially appreciate the co-founder of MISTY, Helene Couvrette, and her dedication to inviting high quality presenters who share evidence-informed and practical information and experiences that can be easily accessed and translated into practice."
Anne Pitman M.Sc., C-IAYT, Director of the School of Embodied Yoga Therapy

"MISTY is by far my favorite Yoga Conference. MISTY is unique in that the participants will not only benefit from the presentations, but they have a chance to interact with and really get to know the presenters at a more personal level. At MISTY you connect with the presenters and those connections will continue to the next MISTY and into the future."
Timothy Gordan MSW, RSW
My experience at Montreal International Symposium on International #Yoga was incredible. I had the great honour of presenting amongst truly talented, innovative people doing great work with yoga.
Thank you to Helene for organizing the warmest, most connected conference I’ve ever been a part of. I’m honoured to have been asked to present. I wasn’t sure how my first talk would be received: current state of the evidence for yoga as a mental health intervention. The narrative about the benefits of yoga for mental health is not so clear, cluttered with under powered studies and lots of promising glimpses into yoga’s potential as a viable treatment. The room was packed and the reception was beyond positive. Many of the folks who attended had already done their homework and too felt frustrated about the lack of methodological reporting and longed for more information about HOW yoga heals. We talked about nerdy stuff like building good controls into studies and mediational analysis to understand the active components of treatment. The enthusiasm only built as my next talk was packed - we discussed practical interventions and I shared five best practices for using yoga to improve mental health as a yogic healer. The feedback I received was overwhelming. I’m left with a very deep sense of gratitude for the experience.If you’re interested in the therapeutic applications of yoga, I highly recommend attending MISTY. 💛So much ❤ for these brilliant voices and kind hearts. Thank you, Helene Couvrette, for bringing us and all those who attended MISTY together for an enriching and unforgettable experience.🙏💛 The Zen Social Worker
What Attendees have to say;
Thank you again for such an amazing conference. There was so much to take in and it will be ages before I can process all the wonderful information and knowledge that was shared. The presenters and attendees were fantastic!!!

Misty has a very simple mission it is To help others That Suffer. I attended this event for the first time for one reason, i have a spouse who has MS and PTSD he suffers. As a Yoga Instructor we want to help others heal even if they are family. I have been provided such a foundation of knowledge from all the presenters. I have made wonderful new friends. Helene is amazing from the time you register until......(there is no end). Everything about the whole weekend has wrapped around my heart and will forever stay with me. Food, Hotel, People Presenters, hotel Staff are 5 stars. If you are thinking on attending the next MISTY stop thinking and just do it.... Until we all meet again......
Lauralee Mills, Studio Owner, Instructor

This year was my first time attending the MISTY and I will say it will not be my last. The wealth of knowledge and information at this conference is truly astounding. The presenters are experts in their fields and truly engaging. I cannot express how valuable it is for any yoga teacher or yoga therapist to attend a MISTY conference in the future. It is worth every penny and more. This conference is put together with love by one person, Helene Couvrette, and she is truly on a mission to help ease suffering.

I always come home from MISTY feeling full, nurtured, and wanting more! I SO appreciate Helene Couvrette for organizing this intimate conference that focuses on YOGA THERAPY! It's incredible opportunity to connect with fellow yoga professionals/students and get that necessary infusion of inspiration into our careers.
